VBar and much more
f you are going to mount the Mini Vbar on the Logo 400, the obvious spot behind the main shaft need modding for it to fly good.
Since the frames arent very stiff and isnt connected, its really isnt a good place.
I did the following from top to bottom:
- MiniVbar
- Futaba gyro tape or stock tape.
- 3mm fiberglass plate, sized as the whole area up there on the L400
- Layer of silicon double-sided tape (very thin 1mm, effect are like epoxy almost), so that or epoxying it will work, harder to get the frames apart if you epoxy it though.
It made TOTAL difference.
I knew my mini didnt fly well because I just removed a full size VBar from it which flew fine, but for anyone that havent tried the Logo 400 Vbar before, it can be tricky.
Without the 3mm plate it just felt "slipperish", not locked in, and it introduced drifting from time to time.
I dont think it matters if you use Fiberglass, 2 or 3mm or CF or even alu, trick is to get a plate covering both frames, and it should be rigid.
